Our People
Mountain Leap's events teams span the UK and the Alps, ensuring local knowledge wherever we go. Represented below are Mountain Leap's core management personnel.
Adam Honey
Adam began his career in 1990 in a central London residential estate agency before moving to Merrill Lynch International Bank in 1997, where he was employed as a Private Banker serving high net worth individuals. During the crisis in the financial markets that followed ‘9-11’, Adam left Merrill Lynch and founded Mountain Leap LLP.
During the first 3 years of operation, the business was divided into two overlapping sectors - the successful operations of a number of quality chalets and the arranging of corporate events. The company has since changed its strategy, discontinuing its chalet operation in order to focus fully on its core competency of managing high quality Alpine events for professional clients. Adam’s tireless work rate and dedication over the formative years of Mountain Leap laid the foundation for what the company has become today.
Adam is a keen extreme skier and mountaineer and enjoys sharing his passion for all things alpine as widely as possible. His belief that, to provide first class corporate ski events, you have to have a great passion for the mountains and an equally firm understanding of business is reflected in the people who now make up the Mountain Leap team.
Chris St John
On graduating in 1999 from an International Business and Languages degree, studying in Sheffield, Paris and Bordeaux, Chris joined Marconi plc’s International Commercial department. He quickly progressed to Commercial Manager responsible for Marconi’s Benelux operations, building and maintaining the company’s relations with some of its largest international clients.
Chris’s desire to travel got the better of him in 2002, when he left Marconi for Australia. Following business development work in Sydney, Chris returned to the University of Sheffield to complete a Master’s degree in Business & Events Management in 2003/4, where he organised events for up to 6,000 attendees along the way.
Finding a way to combine business with his love of winter sports, Chris Joined Neilson Active Holidays' Ski operations in 2004 where he was responsible for managing teams of operations and hospitality staff in 9 ski resorts throughout France. With 8,000 guests per year relying on his team's organisational skills, Neilson’s largest region achieved its highest ever customer satisfaction scores during Chris’s tenure.
Chris’s blue-chip commercial experience, knowledge and passion for snow sports and events management pedigree led him to Mountain Leap, where he has since played a major role in the growth of the company and its client base.
