Massive early season snow falls
Reports are coming in that there has been an excellent heavy snowfall across most of the Western Alps. Chamonix is reporting up to 50cm of fresh snow down to 1,000m, Courchevel has had HALF A METER at the 1850 village level and most of the other premier resorts are enjoying similar quantities of fallen snow.
For some alpine enthusiasts the conditions are good for strapping on touring gear and having a potter uphill and cutting a few turns downhill. In fact if you can't wait for the season to begin in earnest there is great skiing to be had on the glacier at Tignes.
Our events team in Chamonix are just days away at the current rate of snowfall to getting some practice in. The London office are feeling left out!
Bon saison everyone.
